Install Autodesk Fusion (3D modeling software): apply for an Education License and install.

After installation, open Fusion and create a new design, select Part Design (unit in mm):

Change your interface to English if not, so you can follow along and assisted by our TAs.

Bring your laptop, a mouse (convenient for 3D modeling), and your laptop charger to class!
